Partnership and Ownership Opportunity — Texian Cold
This is not a technician position. It is a long-term role running a commercial refrigeration company, with a path to partnership or full ownership.
Texian Cold has served Central Texas since 2019 — commercial refrigeration and HVAC for restaurants, convenience stores, ice plants, medical facilities, and food retail from Dallas down to Waco. The accounts are long-standing and the business is growing.
The owner is looking for the right person to build it with, and depending on who that person is, to eventually hand it to.
Two Paths, Depending on Who You Are
Either way you come on as an employee first and learn the business from the inside — accounts, vendors, scheduling, pricing, customers — with the owner alongside you. Where it goes from there depends on your background.
Partnership — no license required
If you bring administrative and customer-facing strength but not a refrigeration license, the path is partnership. The owner’s Texas license stays pegged to the company, he stays involved, and you run the operating side. You build equity in something you helped grow.
Full ownership — licensed techs
If you hold a Texas refrigeration or HVAC license, complete ownership is on the table. That path requires good credit history and the ability to assume existing loans and accounts as the handoff progresses.
Either way
- Employment first. Nobody is handed keys on day one. This is earned and it takes time.
- The owner trains you. Accounts, vendors, pricing, the technical side. In person, over time.
- Transfers happen on milestones, not all at once.
- This is a real commitment on both sides. It is not a job you take while you look for something else.
Once you are a partner, where the business goes is your call. The company is Waco-based today, but if you want to market into the Dallas–Fort Worth end of the corridor and work it, that decision is yours to make.
Who This Is For
Texian Cold is a Christian-owned business and it is run that way — honest pricing, straight answers, and showing up when somebody’s cooler goes down on a Sunday. That is why the accounts have stayed, and whoever takes this on will need to carry it forward.
What the work asks for:
- Administrative ability — scheduling, billing, vendors, the paperwork side of a service business
- A customer service personality, because most of this job is people
- Compassion for customers having a bad day with expensive equipment
- The determination to build something rather than just maintain it
- Financial standing to take on accounts as the handoff moves forward
Refrigeration experience helps and opens the ownership path. It is not required for partnership — the trade can be taught.

What Happens Next
Every message gets read. If it looks like a fit, the next step is a long conversation, because this is not a normal interview — both sides need to be sure before anybody commits.
If the timing is not right, we keep good conversations on file. This is not a decision anybody should rush.
