Tuned Superheat and Defrost on a College Station Restaurant Cooler

Customer requested i travel to this new site to figure out heavy frosting issues. Adjusted superheat and defrost settings

A College Station restaurant reported heavy frosting on a commercial refrigeration unit, so Clay traveled out to diagnose the buildup. On arrival the evaporator coils were clear, pointing toward the refrigerant circuit and defrost timing rather than airflow. Clay checked superheat, found it running six degrees off spec, and adjusted it back to the manufacturer target. He then reset the defrost cycles to 45-minute intervals with temperature termination so the unit ends defrost on actual coil temperature rather than a fixed timer. He also recommended replacing the coiled-loop controller now in use with a bulb-type temperature control for tighter regulation.
