Restored Kitchen AC and Walk-In Cooler at a Clifton Restaurant

A Clifton, TX restaurant called in with the kitchen rooftop AC not cooling and the walk-in cooler tripping its breaker. Lead technician Clay found the rooftop unit locked out on stage 2 low pressure, caused by a VFD drive not ramping the blower to full speed. He adjusted the belt and motor speed, reset the controls, and both stages returned to cooling. Inside the walk-in evaporator panel, a power wire had rubbed through and was shorting the circuit. Clay repaired it and the cooler ran normally the same visit. Flattened condenser coils and missing line insulation were flagged for follow-up.
