Restored a Scotsman Ice Machine After a Breaker Trip at a Waco Restaurant 10.05.26
A Waco restaurant called after its front-of-house ice machine stopped producing, and Clay found the unit sitting dead on a tripped breaker. After resetting the breaker, he measured every amp draw on the Scotsman and found all of them inside the manufacturer specifications. He then ran the machine through a full freeze and harvest cycle to try to reproduce the fault, and it never tripped. While the panels were open he cleaned the ice bridge thickness sensor, which reads ice thickness to time each harvest. The machine was producing ice before he left.
