A Waco, TX commercial service yard called in an air conditioning unit with a condenser fan that would not turn on a September service call. Clay found the condenser fan motor seized solid, which had left the unit running without any airflow across the condenser coil. The correct part was not on the truck, so he sourced a 1/4 horsepower high-temperature-rated condenser fan motor the same day and returned to install it. He replaced the run capacitor along with the motor, then confirmed the condenser was moving air and the unit was cooling before he left.
