Repaired a Grounded Control Wire on a Commercial Freezer at a Hamilton Restaurant 09.03.26
Clay · September 3, 2026 · Near East Henry Street, Hamilton TX 76531

A restaurant in Hamilton, TX called in a commercial freezer that had quit cooling and was steadily losing box temperature on a hot September afternoon. Lead technician Clay ruled out a mechanical failure and traced the fault to the control wiring, where the insulation had rubbed through until the bare conductor grounded out and dropped the circuit. He repaired the damaged section and restored a clean control circuit. The system was also found low on refrigerant and took one pound of R404A to bring the charge back, and the freezer was pulling down before he left the site.
