Hand-Straightened Pressure-Washed Condenser Coil Fins on a Waco Restaurant Rooftop Unit 10.02.26
Clay · October 2, 2026 · Near Interstate 35, Waco TX 76706

A Waco restaurant rooftop unit had its condenser coil fins folded nearly flat after an earlier cleaning with a pressure washer. Crushed fins block the airflow a condenser needs to reject heat, which raises head pressure and makes the compressor work harder. The damage was too severe for a fin comb, so Clay straightened the coil by hand, working each run of fins one at a time to reopen the face of the coil. Rooftop condenser coils should be cleaned with a coil-safe cleaner and a low-pressure rinse, never a pressure washer. For commercial HVAC service in Waco, call 254-272-2714.
