Diagnosed Packaged AC Systems at a Hillsboro Business 06.26.26
A Hillsboro business asked for a full diagnostic of every operating packaged rooftop AC unit, with a written report. Clay checked contacts and electrical on each unit and found most in good working order. Two units had cooling locked out after heating ignition-failure alarms on their control boards. He cleared the alarms and reset the controls, and both returned to cooling, adding capacity to the occupied space. Both will need their heating sections examined before cold weather. He also found a refrigeration unit with the condenser running while the compressor pulled a vacuum, and shut off its power pending approval for further diagnosis.
