Diagnosed High Head Pressure on a Waco Walk-In Freezer Condenser 07.24.26

Clay · July 24, 2026 · Near Hewitt Drive, Waco TX 76712

A commercial walk-in freezer in Waco TX was running warm, and the condensing unit was found shut down on its high pressure safety. Clay cleaned a heavily loaded condenser coil and brought the system back online, but discharge pressure stayed well above normal operating range. Checking the component data turned up a capacity mismatch: a 9,000 BTU evaporator paired with a 12,000 BTU condensing unit. Equipment matching is being confirmed with the manufacturer, and a correctly sized condensing unit will be quoted before the system can run within design limits.
