Cleared a Hair-Clogged Evaporator and Repaired a Kinked Suction Line at a Waco Apartment Complex 10.15.26

A Waco apartment complex reported an air conditioning unit that was not cooling. Clay found the evaporator coil plugged with animal hair and the suction line kinked in two places. He removed the coil and chemically cleaned it, cut out the damaged sections of suction line and repaired them, then found the system low on charge and added 2 lbs of R-410A. The system was cooling again. He noted that the line set is too small for R-410A equipment and should be replaced, and the condensate drains need P-traps to keep sewer gases from being pulled into the unit.
