Brazed New Suction Lines on a Walk-In Freezer at a Robinson TX Restaurant 09.16.26

A Robinson TX restaurant called with a walk-in freezer short cycling and struggling to hold temperature after recent roof work. On the roof, Clay found a bubbling sight glass and kinked suction lines on both the walk-in freezer and walk-in cooler condensing units, along with a defrost timer set to the wrong time. He cut out the kinked copper on both systems, brazed the lines straight through in place of the threaded quick-connect fittings, added R-404A to both units, and reset the timer. Both walk-ins were returned to normal operation, and a noisy condenser fan motor was flagged for replacement. For walk-in cooler and freezer repair in Robinson and Waco, call 254-272-2714.
