The weld repair is complete. The system holds a charge again. To get usable cooling out of the property while the larger issue is addressed, the system was charged above nominal — enough to produce minimum acceptable cooling given the restriction it is fighting.

That is a bridge, and we want to be plain about it. Overcharging a mismatched system is a way to buy an owner time in the middle of a Texas August. It is not a repair, and it is not how the equipment should run long term. Correcting the line set to match the condensing unit is what actually puts this system inside its design envelope.

A properly matched line set would bring discharge pressure back into range, drop discharge temperature, restore the rated capacity the owner already paid for, and stop the slow accumulation of heat stress on the compressor. Until that happens, the unit is working far harder than it should to deliver less than it should.
