Replaced a Hot Gas Valve on a Whitney Undercounter Ice Machine 08.22.26

A commercial undercounter ice machine at a Whitney, TX business was shutting itself off mid-cycle and producing far less ice than it should. Clay traced the fault to the hot gas harvest valve, which was leaking by and bleeding hot refrigerant into the evaporator during the freeze cycle. That stretched freeze times until the control locked the machine out on a maximum cycle fault. He recovered the charge to EPA standards, brazed in a new OEM valve, evacuated and recharged the system with R404A, and reset the ice thickness probe so cycle timing came back into spec.
