Repaired a Failed Line Weld on a Waco Apartment Complex AC Unit
An apartment complex in Waco TX called on an air conditioning unit that was running but barely cooling through August heat. Clay found the system low on refrigerant and traced the loss to a bad weld at a line connection, which he cut out and re-welded before recovering and recharging the system. Testing afterward showed a second issue the charge could not solve: the condensing unit is larger than the line set serving it, driving very high discharge pressure and low suction.
