Repaired a Shorted Evaporator Fan on a Whitney Walk-In Freezer
A walk-in freezer at a Whitney, TX facility was holding near 40 degrees and kept tripping the circuit on a direct short. Clay traced the fault to the evaporator section, where a failed fan motor bracket had let a broken blade cut into its own wiring. The bracket was welded on site to restore airflow and get the box pulling down the same visit, with a replacement bracket on order. A follow-up visit completed the refrigeration side: coils and air filters cleaned, filter drier rewelded, system evacuated, all valve cores and caps replaced, and virgin refrigerant added.
