Traced a Frozen Beer Cave Evaporator to Airflow at a Waco Store
Clay · July 14, 2026 · Near South 18th Street, Waco TX 76706

A Waco convenience store reported its beer cave running warm, and the evaporator was frozen solid on arrival. Clay shut down the condenser and confirmed the defrost timer was rotating normally, which ruled out the usual suspect and pointed to airflow instead. After letting the coil thaw, he restarted the unit and found the evaporator fans turning at low speed because of incorrect wiring, along with the wrong low pressure control installed on the system. The box is cooling again, with correct-speed fan motors and the proper control specified for a return visit. For commercial refrigeration service across the Heart of Texas, call 254-272-2714.
