Replaced a Burnt Walk-In Cooler Power Switch at a Waco Restaurant
Clay · June 29, 2026 · Near South 6th Street, Waco TX 76701

A Waco restaurant reported its walk-in cooler making a loud noise and sparking at the on-off switch after being cycled off and back on. On arrival, Clay found the walk-in cooler power switch burnt up internally and arcing under load. He sourced a replacement switch and installed it the same day, then replaced a noisy contactor with pitted contacts to head off a future no-cool call and cleaned the return grille. The main air conditioning system was also serviced, with a loose belt tightened, the refrigerant charge restored, and service port caps replaced.
