Walk-In Freezer Repair. On arrival found WIF at 37 degrees, fans not running and stat calling for cooling with solenoid energized. After examining condenser found no control power to compressor contactor, traced loss to high pressure safety. I equalized pressures and started compressor the high pressure hit max allowed immediately and shut down. The system is overcharged. I removed enough refrigerant to allow the system to run continuously at 34 psi low pressure and 254 psi high side with WIF temp at 36 degrees, sight glass remained clear. evaporator temperature dropped to fan allowable temp and fans started. temperature is falling at departure and showing 27 degrees.
